Whenever someone mentions the Greek Islands, you instantly imagine paradise, perfect weather, cute white houses on a hillside and clear blue water. All of this is correct in addition to being 100 times better to witness in person. When you look at postcards and internet images of Greece, it looks a little surreal and you don’t expect it to look like that in reality. In reality however, it looks surreal too and the whole time, I couldn’t grasp the fact I was walking up little white and blue paved alleys on a Greek Island in the Aegean Sea.
There are plenty of cute little shops along the alleys as you walk inland. We spent some time there and explored the unique jewellery and clothing they had on offer. Our day mostly consisted of walking around the beautiful island visiting the peaks and the Mykonos windmills.
I also took the liberty of snapping a few pictures of the cats that are found all over the island. We had a short stay in Mykonos, I wish we could have spent some more time here because it was quite the experience. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay long and had to get back on the tender boat and swim back up to our cruise ship to prepare for our next destination.
