Meggen is a beautiful town located in the canton of Lucerne. The view of the Alps from the town are always, even on an overcast day, breathtaking. Some more photos you can see I wrote about I my first Swiss blog when I arrived.
There is a retirement village located in Meggen. It contains a stable that has ridiculously cute goats, bunnies and ponies that keep the elderly company. The surroundings are magnificent and this place would be an incredible location for retirement!
I would like to also note that I am aware of how much I have been spoilt during my stay in Switzerland. I have seen so many incredible places and have been blessed to have enjoyed so many incredible meals. Additionally, if you know me well enough, you know that I have a borderline obsession with cheese, and so, I was lucky enough to enjoy an array of cheeses everyday for breakfast and most dinners.
My final night in Switzerland was celebrated at Hotel Balm.
Hotel Balm has a 5 star restaurant that is extremely classy. Here the chefs bought out complimentary courses for the starter and after desert. We ended up with a total of 5 courses. I have actually never been to such a highly sophisticated restaurant, it was an excellent night full of deliciousness and great company!
