Hotel Montana is the best 4 star hotel in Switzerland. It is located in Lucerne and overlooks the Alpine mountains, Lucerne Lake and the town below. Montana is an Art Deco Hotel with class.
This is the ultimate breakfast location. The buffet setup coupled with the 5 star view is the perfect way to start your day.
The hotel has it’s own cable car that takes you down the hill to the town centre, and if you want to stay here and wake up to the view every morning, single lake view rooms start at 225 CHF, and the Penthouse Spa Superior Suite can cost up to 1,365 CHF per night..
Lucerne town centre is home to Chapel Bridge, Kapellbrücke, which is the most photographed monument in the country. The bridge was actually burnt down 20 years ago, but luckily restored by an over abundance of support from the international community.
As you walk through the town, you will see buildings decorated with façade paintings. Most of them only actually date back to the 19th and early 20th centuries.
I had a wonderfully relaxing day in Lucerne. Even though the weather was a little overcast, it was lovely to stroll along the lake, taking in the fresh air.
